Festival of New Spanish Cinema
The OFS is very proud to promote, together with Library and Archives Canada and the Canadian Film Institute, the Festival of New Spanish Cinema. Organized by the Embassy of Spain and Pragda, the Ottawa event kicks off the festival’s North American tour which
travels subsequently to five cities in the USA. This selection of seven recent award-winning films offers a diverse, up-to-the-minute look at
the work of fearless and passionate new talents along with the well-established masters of Spanish cinema. With diverse storytelling, genre
and subjects, the films form an impressive body of work that addresses various issues of modern Spanish society.
The screenings take place in the Auditorium of Library and Archives Canada, 395 Wellington St., on September 5, 6, 8 and 11.
